Don's Blog A Little Story 7-8-2020

Jan just sent me this image from our garden in the country. It shows shasta daisys and some rattle snake master surrounding a beautiful young lady. Many years ago this pretty lass lived at our chalet in another part of our resort. Her name was Amaryllis and she was part of a large concrete bird bath that lived on a banquet railing on our deck. One day we had a huge storm with killer winds. When the storm was over we found that a large tree limb had fallen on the bird bath breaking it into many pieces and severing poor Amaryllis'
head which was on the ground about 12 feet below the deck. More recently she has found a spot between some boulders fronting our current flower garden. She stays there rain or shine, hot or cold. She is pretty quiet - she keeps her own counsel even in the midst of a pandemic.
