Treasures from the past

This letter is to my next door neighbor at the Lake.

Hi Lolly,

Sorry it took so long but here is the once in a lifetime exhibit that you missed the other day. I had iPhone/computer problems but here's the deal:

For thirty years in the last century every summer we went to the quartz sand beaches near Santa Rosa Beach Florida to a beach house that we loved called the Sunshine house. In the eighties we found a green fishing netting on the shore. At the time there was quite an interest in the pollution of the beaches. One summer we collected several weeks of beach treasures each morning with the idea that Jan would do an outdoor installation of the beach treasures on the hating green rising netting. Alas it never happened. I discarded the netting many years ago but the bags of beach treasures have been stored in our chalet (#134) and then moved to the basement at #587. Last week we opened the treasure

chest on the driveway for Gordon's family. This trash, I mean treasure, has been waiting for almost 40 years The coke can was dated 1982.

Here's a closer look.

My favorite was the Tommy Gun which still worked. That is a genuine rubber knife and a nice Sippy cup.

Sorry you could not see these treasures - they have moved on to their next life.
