Flower for the Day Plains Coreopsis II 8-10-2020

These flowers grew on the same plant as the previous plains coreopsis (Coreopsis tinctoria). 

I do not know how to do this on purpose - the base color has taken over the entire florette.  The

result is extraordinary.
