Each year we have a new rosemary (Salvis rosmarinas) plant. It is a member of the mint family (Lamiaceae). Rosemary is shrub with very fragrant , evergreen, needle-like leaves. The fresh or dried leaves can be used for food flavoring.  Rosemary flowers in late spring. The branches are dotted with groups of 2 to 3 flowers down their length.
