a luscious growth of leaves which die back and completely disappear. In August it sprouts from the ground.
In only a few days its surprising blooms appear.
I have several stands that just keep on coming. Since they have no leaves at the
time of blooming they are called naked ladies.
And they are magnificent as cut flowers.
