Bonus 8-14 Some Small Mammals of RMNP

These images were taken by Rob Sessions my nephew who was a
Naturalist in another life.The top photo shows a  Chickaree, also called a
Douglas Squirrel or Pine Squirrel (GenusTamiascurius). In summer
its back is greenish brown and its underside is pale orange.In winter
the back is browner and the underside grey. John Muir described the
Douglas Squirrel as "by far the most influential of the California Scuridae".
The bottom photo is the  shows the most common beggar on the
BMNP trails and picnic areas.
