Hydrangea

This flowering bush is doing well this year but has only produced two blossoms.

These ferns do very well in the green garden every year.

Rattle Snake Master

 This grows perennially in the wildflower garden. The

name refers to the legendary positive result of applying a paste of the boiled

roots to your rattle snake bite.

 

Horse Mint

Much to my surprise this is a monarda (citrioda). Also
lemon beebalm. When the leaves are rubbed there is a lemon scent.

Yellow Coneflower

-Ratibida pinnata. These grow all summer in the wildflower garden.

 

Purple Monarda

There are two huge wildflower "rooms " full of this flower.

 

 

Double Daylily

 - The wonder of gardening is highlighted when you go out

and find a beautiful flower that surprisingly comes from nowhere such as

this deep orange colored daylily that showed up in the wildflower garden.

Another subtle color for today's daylily.

Purple Loosestrife

 Lythrum  salicaria. This has done very well on the berm

for years with no indication of invasive activity.
