The Jiaravanon's Visit

Our former patient and friend Sumet Jiaravanon and
his wife visited today from Singapore (or Hong Kong).
They gave me a tie and Jan a hand bag. We presented
them with one of our books.

vase, a recent gift.

Flowering plant in the onion genus, one of the
largest in the plant genuses in the world with over
1250 species. The bulbs are edible but seem too
expensive to eat.

Victorian Language of flowers Sweet William is the symbol
of gallantry.

From the Greek rose tree. In the Family Ericaceae.
The national flower of Nepal and the state flowers
of West Virginia and Washington.

Azaleas

Don Ingram helped me plant these azaleas over 20 years ago.
They have survived several attacks by lace bugs which are little
black bugs on the back of the leaves which suck out the
chlorophyll. They must be sprayed.

taller hardwoods near our chalet in Innsbrook Missouri.
